Unified Window Systems Inc., Hempstead, has opened its third location on Long Island on Route 112 in Patchogue, just south of Sunrise Highway. Unified has served Long Island for the past 20 years and currently operates two other showrooms in Hempstead Village and Huntington. The new showroom has over 2000 square feet of windows, doors, siding and roofing—with life-size displays and an actual house that’s built in the middle of the floor space.
Unified’s Chief Executive Officer Steven DiMare said, ‘We are very happy to be able to service the entire Island for our customers. Although we always went out on free estimates to the East End, customers feel much more comfortable seeing the products in full size for themselves.”
All three locations are open seven days a week and, Steve said, “We have the most knowledgeable sales people to answer questions and demonstrate products.”
Dan Riccio, operations manager for Unified, said, “With sales of almost 12 million, this new showroom will probably put us over 14 million in 2009.” Unified has recently added attic insulation from Owens Corning to their full line of heat-saving products. DiMare said, “If a customer were to use the best of our insulating products in windows, doors, siding and roofing and then insulate their attic, we would guarantee a 50 percent savings on energy costs. It’s that simple.”
