As the founder of Unified Window Systems and later Unified Home Remodeling, Steven built the company from a small family-operated business into one of New York’s most recognized exterior remodeling companies. His philosophy was simple: provide homeowners with quality products, honest pricing, skilled installation, and long-term service without compromising integrity.

Steven’s experience in the remodeling industry began at just 18 years old while attending night classes at Nassau Community College. Growing up in Brooklyn before later moving to West Hempstead and Rockville Centre, Steven developed a strong work ethic early in life as the son of a union electrician.

Before founding his own company, Steven worked across nearly every level of the window and exterior remodeling industry. His background included factory work, installation, field operations, and subcontracting for multiple home improvement companies throughout New York. This hands-on experience gave him a practical understanding of installation quality, homeowner expectations, project management, and long-term product performance long before he became a business owner.

In 1989, Steven founded Unified Window Systems with the vision of creating a more trustworthy home improvement company for New York homeowners. Over time, the company expanded beyond replacement windows into full exterior remodeling services, including roofing, siding, doors, masonry, and so much more.

Steven also helped position Unified as a company recognized for customer satisfaction, installation quality, and long-term service standards. Over the years, Unified earned industry recognition connected to manufacturer programs, homeowner satisfaction, and organizations such as the Better Business Bureau and the Good Housekeeping Institute.

His reputation throughout the remodeling industry was built on consistency, transparency, and a belief that homeowners should receive professional installation and long-term value without unnecessary sales pressure.

Community Involvement & Leadership

Outside of the remodeling industry, Steven remained deeply involved in both community organizations and charitable initiatives throughout Long Island.

He served as a two-time president of Rockville Links Country Club and spent 12 years serving on the club’s board.

Steven also supported organizations, including Bethany House and New Ground, where he served on the boards for many years and helped shape the advisory around each non-profit.

An avid golfer throughout his life, he held memberships at several respected clubs, including Medalist Golf Club, Old Memorial Golf Club, and his hometown club, Rockville Links. In 2023, he also traveled throughout Scotland with a group of close friends to play some of the world’s most historic golf courses, a trip later featured by GOLF Magazine.
